macOS Installation Guide

Our app isn't on the App Store yet, so macOS will show a security warning. Here's how to install:

Method 1: Right-click to open (easiest)

  1. Download the .dmg file
  2. Open the DMG and drag Fogged VPN to Applications
  3. Right-click (or Control+click) on Fogged VPN in Applications
  4. Click "Open" from the menu
  5. Click "Open" again on the warning dialog

Method 2: System Settings

  1. Try to open the app normally (it will be blocked)
  2. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security
  3. Scroll down — you'll see "Fogged VPN was blocked"
  4. Click "Open Anyway"

Method 3: Terminal (one command)

xattr -cr /Applications/Fogged\ VPN.app

Then open the app normally. This removes the macOS quarantine flag.
